Our Arizona counterparts are really supporting the troops, but in a way you might not expect; David Haddad is seeing that troops in Baghdad are able to continue honing their golf skills, and even visited, throwing a cigar social.

Smoke on the Water: Sea Island, Georgia

Friday, June 12th, 2009

On Wednesday, June 10th, we were asked to bring our setup to a “Smoke on the Water” event. The client requested that we bring a cigar celebrity, so we asked Rocky Patel if he would join us. He agreed, and we featured the prestigious Rocky Patel cigar line at the event. A winery and whiskey-maker were also present for the event, which was described as a tasting.

Donald, local cigar aficionado, assisted me with cutting and lighting for the guests.

Wedding in Bluffton, South Carolina

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Saturday, May 30th, we were happy to provide our services for another fairy-tale wedding. This one was in Bluffton, South Carolina. It was a very hot and humid evening, but everything went as planned. The bride and groom were very welcoming, and we wish them the best of luck.

St. Thomas event: a fairy tale wedding

Monday, May 25th, 2009

The St. Thomas event was a success. The family was extremely welcoming to us, and we really enjoyed working with them. They went out of their way to include us in the festivities (other than the reception, where we had our setup), and we had a great few days in the Caribbean. The wedding itself was just beautiful; the wedding party and guests enjoyed fireworks, delectable desserts, a wonderful atmosphere and, of course, cigars!

The highlight of the evening for us was getting a few of the guests involved in the cigar rolling process; they were great students and learned quite a bit about the construction of cigars in a short period of time. We were well-received by all the wedding guests, and we send congratulations to the bride and groom.

Lots of events coming up…

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

In spite of it being off-season in Southwest Florida and the economy being what it is, we have quite a few events scheduled for May and June. Roger and I will be in St. Thomas for a wedding on May 23rd, and we have another wedding in Bluffton, S.C., on May 30th. Come June, there are events in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale.

We are all happy that the website is live, and that we have a lot of things to keep us busy during the notoriously slow summer months.
